Our advanced screen acting classes are for adults of any skill level who want to focus on the craft and techniques for acting in front of camera, developing core, fundamental skills for both commercial and cinematic work.
Term 1, 2023 - The Actor Prepares
Terms 1 and 3 are dedicated to the fundamentals of actor training for camera, along with behind the scenes training, scene work, commercial work, and exploring how to create a character for camera.

Term 3, 2023 - Training for Scenes

Actors will benefit from working alongside our industry professionals in film and theatre, including Producer/Writer Matthew Caffoe (founder of Mashed Theatre & Films) to advance their acting skills for the screen and explore how film production works.
Term 2, 2023 - Showreels*
Term 2 will see our actors filming their first showreel for their portfolio; this will involve a professional film shoot with an existing scene and their scene partner.

Curriculum Focuses
- Acting For Camera (Cinematic)
- Acting For Camera (Commercial)
- Will learn and establish an acting process transferable to any work in film
- Will receive expert mentorship and advice from industry professionals working in Australian Cinema
- Will receive training and practical exercises in operations behind camera
- Will engage in a collaborative film making process
- Will learn about visual storytelling, screenwriting, camera operation, shot selection, lighting, production design and sound
- At the end of each semester you will receive a professional 2-minute showreel valued at $600 for your portfolio
- At the end of Term 4 you and your extended family will attend a Movie Night Gala, fit with photographers, red carpet, and a showing of the groups showreels over popcorn and drinks.
