SCHOOL HOLIDAY WORKSHOPS
This December we are hosting Acting Workshops for young people at Empire Theatre for ages 6 – 18. We have three categories of enrolment for different age brackets. Get your kid enrolled in this years School Holiday Acting Workshops where they will get the opportunity to work with one of Queenslands leading and fastest growing theatre companies, learn directly from professional actors in the theatre and film industry, and explore multiple styles and forms of acting over the course of the week.

LEARN TO ACT!
Ages: 6 – 8
Held at the Empire Theatre’s Supper Room/Rehearsal Room, this workshop will be focus on developing confidence and speaking skills in young people. The day will be a whole lot of fun and will include Drama Games, Clowning, and Characterisation Skills.

ACTING FOR FUN!
Ages: 9 – 11
Held at the Empire Theatre’s Supper Room/Rehearsal Room, this beginning actors workshop day will develop key skills in young people to prepare them for becoming an actor in theatre or film. We will focus on a number of different acting techniques with an emphasis on fun and engagement throughout this workshop.

4 DAY ACTOR'S INTENSIVE PROGRAM
Ages: 12 – 18
This four day intensive will explore intermediate and advanced acting techniques, theatre styles and forms, and preparation for film, musical theatre, and dramatic theatre. Over the course of the four days these actors will be trained in a variety of styles, work with industry professionals from Musical Theatre, Film, and the Voice Over Industry. The first three days will be held in the Empire Theatre’s Supper Room/Rehearsal Room and on the fourth day we will be in the theatre itself, where they will learn the ropes of stagecraft and perform their very own showcase for friends and family to display the skills they have worked on over the week.
